  • As a homeowner, do I have to be present to view the house?

    No, our agents can arrange the viewings and take care of everything. If you would like to be present at viewings, we will of course adjust the coordination to your timetable.

  • Is it like a homeowner having a say in the choice of the future tenant?

    Yes of course! To find tenants for your home, we will sit down together and agree on your preferences regarding suitable tenants. All rental conditions are adhered to by both parties involved in the rental process.

  • What happens after finding a potential buyer/tenant?

    Once we have found a potential buyer/tenant, we will make an appointment to discuss the contract. The most important thing is that the parties involved are happy with each other.

  • What does the Real Estate Management service mean?

  • What documents do I need to prepare to rent an apartment in Amsterdam?

    We need a copy of your passport or identity card and ask for a copy of your employment contract and/or a bank guarantee. You cannot rent a home without these documents.

  • How long can I rent a house in Amsterdam?

    The minimum stay in most Amsterdam flats and houses starts at 3 months and can go up to several years, depending on the owner.

  • What special services does GDY Housing offer expats?

    Being former expats ourselves, we at GDY Housing are experienced in everything related to moving to the Netherlands and living in Amsterdam.     We try to keep the rental process as simple as possible. First, we look for a number of places that match your preferences, followed by a date for a personal viewing.


    After you choose an apartment/house, GDY Housing does the contract negotiations for you. After signing, we take care of the check-in and hand over the key.
